Is it possible for a transvaginal ultrasound to hurt on a virgin?

Yes. In a virgin, the entrance of the probe is slightly painful. After entry, it does not hurt. Most of the pain comes out of the spasm of the muscles because of fear. The more you relax the less painful it is to do the ultrasound in a virgin.
Yes. Depends on whether the hymen is intact. There can be other causes of pain including tension, infection or other pelvic abnormalities. These other problems and infection may need to be looked at with ultrasound. Always tell the sonographer if it hurts.
