In brief: Pregnancy & Leukemia
Acute leukemia can sometimes be diagnosed in pregnant women.
A young woman with acute leukemia should defer having a baby until at least more than 2 years in remission (free of leukemia) off any chemotherapy. Sometimes it is difficult to conceive after treatments but it is possible. Planning this ahead of time even before start of treatments with your doctor helps.
