In brief: Yes

Pcos is not a disease but a syndrome - a collection of things that occur together. I often see the older term 'pcod' used by patients from india or medical records from there.
Even pcos is a bad name - they are not cysts but small antral follicles, but we are all used to the term pcos, and polyfollicular ovary syndrome doesn't mean anything to most mds or patients.

In brief: Yes

The term disease is a misnomer, though, as it is truly a syndrome and not a disease per se.
