Im 24 yrs old with an IVF pregnancy. My blood work came back with a high chance of down symdrome. I heard that might be due to IVF itself?

In brief: No it is not
1. There is no evidence that ivf increases the chance for a down syndrome baby 2.
Blood work is not diagnostic. You need a sure test like amniocentesis for baby chromosomes.

In brief: Not due 2 IVF itself
Ivf itself does not increase the chance of down syndrome / other chromosome problems compared with infertile women the same age getting pregnant without ivf.
Can't compare ivf moms with younger group getting pregnant easily. Diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply) increases the risk of chromosome problems at any age. Ivf may alter blood marker levels (more false positives) discuss with your md.
