Is a fast heart rate during any surgery a problem?

In brief: Not really

It can be handled.
During surgery, the surgeon and anesthesiologist have IV access and control of respirations - they can do practically anything to your heart rhythm safely including electric shock and a variety of drugs. Please understand that sinus tachycardia (normal fast heart rate due to stress) is normal during surgery and requires no treatment.
