Probably not. A quick adrenaline burst as it occurs with being startled or that associated with sports activities for example is usually well managed by your heart; your hr and BP will rise transiently with no problem. Now, if you have underlying heart disease this may not be the case. Have yourself checked.

All deaths are ultimately from the electrical system of the heart stopping, but if someone not on drugs simply falls over dead and the autopsy & labs show no clear fatal lesion, i look for entities that cause rhythm problems such as coronary atherosclerosis, emphysema, or structural defects.
