In brief: Eyelids sensitive
Eyelid skin is very delicate so it reacts easily to chemicals in the air or surface contact.
Your eyelids could be irritated by or allergic to products used around your eyes, on your face or scalp, or things you handle. Seborrheic dermatitis can also cause scaly, red eyelids. You could try a brief course of hydrocortisone, used sparingly or be evaluated by a derm. Nail polish/epoxy have caused.

In brief: Eyelid dermatitis
The diagnosis of eyelid dermatitis is usually made from a detailed history, physical findings and patch testing.
Patients should be referred to a dermatologist for consideration of patch testing.Patch testing, when done properly, can confirm the presence of an allergic contact dermatitis. Purified potential allergens of known concentrations are placed on the skin and read on days 2 and 3.
