In brief: Many causes

There are numerous reasons to have neck or and back pain and this requires a complete workup to find out why.
However, the nerves that supply sensation to the face do not come from spinal cord in the neck but the lower part of the brain. You need to see a neurologist to workup your abnormal face sensation issues.

In brief: Many Possiblities

Depends how long this has been going on.
Could be anything from muscle strain/sprain to a herniated disc in your neck. The sensation in the face is the zinger that broadens what is known as the differential diagnosis. Also depends how severe the sx. Are and how long you have had this. If sx. More than a few weeks would recommend seeing your doctor. Ibuprofen is probably a good start.
