I've had severe interstitial cystitis pain for months. Doc said "tough out the pain" until elmiron (pentosan) starts working. What can I do for the pain?

Dietary changes. Have you tried the ic diet? Replace all your beverages with flat water. Stay away from citrus, caffeine, carbonation, spicy and acidic foods. Basically avoid any foods or drinks that could cause heartburn and this could help your bladder.
