Drugs are unlikely. To help a person whose personality is well described by the definition of a personality disorder - patient cbt efforts have been the most helpful in my experience. Pds are not illness, they are ways of being. When they are maladaptive, it can be very unpleasant, but need to be out-grown (even in adults). Non-judgmental guidance is what i employ. If the person is committed to both self-acceptance and need for change, the storms in relatedness may gradually quiet.
