In brief: Sore throat

One of the symptoms you have (sore throat) is likely pharyngitis.
If you were placed on antibiotics it is because the medical provider wanted to cover for streptococcus, a common bacterial cause of pharyngitis. The test done in the office for strep is not always accurate, so you may still have it. Interestingly, not all causes of pharyngitis are bacterial. They can also be viral, fungal, etc.
