In brief: Yes
Periods can be very irregular after childbirth.
Things that will affect the regularity of your periods are breast feeding (will delay them), birth control, and the normal hormonal changes that come with childbirth.

In brief: It is common
Having no periods at all and hormone levels out of whach (high levels) for over 9 months straight during pregnancy and so you may not have regular periods right after delivery.
If you were regular before, you will likely get that regularity back in a few cycles. If longer than 4-6 cycles, consult doc.. Congrats on the baby and good luck.
