In brief: Facet joints

The low back facet joints are the gliding joints (discs are the shock absorbers).
The facets can get inflammed and cause a burning symptom across the low back. Reduce or temporarily stop your running (try stationary bike for awhile) and use some antiinflammatory medication. If it stays painful after 2-4 weeks see a spine doctor.
