I have a gluten intolerance and so do 2/3 of my children. What are the chances my mother could as well?

In brief: Possible

Gluten sensitivity arises due to genetic factors & environmental triggers.
From our parents, we inherit the genes that make proteins which interact with gluten. If you have gluten sensitivity, then it is possible that she does too. Does she experience any symptoms of bloating or discomfort when she eats gluten? Do those symptoms go away when she eliminates it from her diet?
