In brief: See doctor.....

Coughing will sometimes result in vocal cord inflammation which will make your voice hoarse.
Discolored sputum is a sign of airway inflammation usually due to bronchitis, either acute or chronic. See your doctor so you can be diagnosed and treated. If you are smoking, you need to quit to decrease airway inflammation.

In brief: Laryngitis/bronchiti

Your symptoms could be laryngitis/bronchitis which are commonly caused by viruses and thus antibiotics are often not needed.
For an average adult, coughing may last 2-3 wks for a bout of bronchitis. Cough supressant and decongestant/expectorant help your symptoms control. If your symptoms get worse with fever and more fatigue etc..Consult doc for eval and treatment. Good luck.
