In brief: Sinusitis

Most sinus infections are viral and should be treated with over the counter decongestants and sinus rinses.
If you have sinus pressure, thick nasal discharge, +/- fever for longer than 10 days, I recommend seeing a healthcare provider. If your resistance is low or you have recurrent sinus infections, you may have contracted a bacterial infection as well requiring antibiotics.

In brief: Supportive Care

Most over the counter cold remedies have medications that should help with both of these symptoms.
If you have known allergies or highly suspect them, it would help if you can identify where you are getting exposed. Stay well hydrated. Most of these are self- limiting diseases and get you should feel better once they run their course.
