In brief: Age 16-20

The wisdom teeth develop and may erupt or grow in from ages 16 thru 20, on average.
Some people may not have any but normally one has two to four teeth. Some sit dormant and cause no problems. However, most wisdom teeth can partially erupt or push on the existing teeth which can lead to damages and infections. They may need to be removed.

In brief: Usually

Between the ages of 16 and 22 but it might be later or not at all.
The wisdom teeth might not have enough room to come in or occasionally they do not form at all.
