In brief: Treatment, patience
Treatment -- counseling, medication to stabilize mood.
Psychotherapy to help you build up sx awareness, work on triggers and create a "crisis card" who to call when sx become difficult to manage. Staying compliant with treatment is important and should be address in therapy as well. Relieve doesn't come overnight, but with patients, normal functioning and return to work is very real. Good luck!
