When worked up apporpriately, RF is effective in 85% of cases (Spine. 2000 May 15;25(10):1270-7.) These procedures are effective in relieveing pain from 9 months to two years, and 85% of patients recieve a similar duration of pain relief when the procedure is repeated (Spine. 2004 Nov 1;29(21):2471-3.)
