Do you think people who have any psychiatric problem should watch horror movies?

In brief: Really depends

Many people simply don't like horror movies; others find them irresistable.
If someone has anxiety problems especially about safety, horror movies probably are a bad idea. Observing the effect of watching is one way to decide: if worries increase & functioning decreases after watching a type of movie--or other things on tv--then probably best to avoid them. I don't watch the evening news.

I WONDER WHY THE QUESTION COMES UP. ONE MIGHT TALK WITH A THERAPIST ANS SEE WHAT'S BEHIND IT.THERE COULD BE A LOT OF REASONS FOR ASKING THE QUESTION.

In brief: Horror Movies

Watching horror movies especially if you are vulnerable to psychiatric illness may or may not predispose to increase anxiety or ptsd signs and symptoms.
