In brief: No!

No evidence, other than anecodotal, shows a direct link.
I have been on a low-carb diet which is heavy in meat (red) since 1996. I am down from 238 to 194, my med school weight, and go to my website to see what i do. I'm 62. (www.Drnamey.Com). But most importantly, no. Mixing fat and carbs it lethal!

In brief: No

Meats not cause arthritis however a high consumption of red meat (more than 2-3 servings per week) in particular may contribute to inflammation in the body that can worsen arthritis symptoms.
