Interactive. Psychopathology refers to harmfully unusual psychological qualities of the person caused by biology and traumatic learning histories. Stress consists of a response to upsetting events that triggers or worsens pathological factors. Psychotherapy aims to teach coping for unchangeable factors, de-condition negative factors that were learned, and strengthen positive factors already present.
