In brief: 20% lose allergy
Up to 20% of peanut allergic toddlers will outgrow it.
Determining if a child has outgrown peanut allergy requires working closely with an allergist skilled in management of food allergy. There is no signal that a parent can use to determine loss of reactivity to peanut, it requires yearly skin and blood testing for ige levels to peanut and if indicated oral food challenge in controlled setting.

In brief: Allergy testing
Usually you need to be allergy tested both skin prick testing and if negative then confirmed with specific ige test to peanut.
If these 2 tests are negative then consider a peanut challenge. However, only about 18% of children will outgrow this allergy (and this is in children who have had very mild symptoms to begin with).
