In brief: Yes, & other problem

Any head trauma, even apparently minor ones ias w liam nielsen's wife) can cause immediate problems.
A concussion is caused by skull trauma with the brain bouncing from one side to other (headache, n&v). If on a blood thinner, intracelebral bleed may occur. If recover, then develop nausea, vomiting, blurry vision..2-3 weeks after head trauma, it may be a subdural hematoma; this is a delayed prob.

In brief: Yes

Loss of consciousness, even for just a few seconds, after a blow to your head, followed by a headache, is probably a concussion.
If you have no other symptoms, you may not need more than a quick check by your dr, but someone needs to keep an eye on you for 12-24hrs. If you start to throw up, or develop weakness on 1 side, or can't be easily wakened from sleep, you need to go to the er.
