What is good to drink or eat to stop vomiting basically feeling sick to the stomach?

In brief: Rehydration
In the strictest sense, you want to put the stomach to rest.
However, simple fluids are best to keep from dehydrating. Children have less tolerance and reserves for fluid and electrolyte loss, so i recommend pedialyte for kids. Adults can tolerate vomiting better, so i recommend water, or mild, sweetened tea. I also use ginger ale or flat coke to control nausea. Foods should be avoided.

Agree with Dr. Wishnew. Also drinking sips of pure ginger tea throughout the day helps. Get tea bags or brew two tablespoons of finely cut ginger in hot water for 20 minutes. May sweeten safely with Stevia.
