In brief: Sounds like a tooth!

Pain in the back of the upper jaw could be due either to a dental problem or a sinus problem.
If it hurts when you drink cold or hot liquids, it's more likely a tooth that may be abscessed. You may need a root canal or even a tooth extraction, it's hard to tell. A dentist or a specialist such as an endodontist could be able to tell you whether it's a tooth or your sinuses.

In brief: Tooth Pain

Sinus problems would not be typically sensitive to hot and cold.
Radiating pain is a sign of a dying tooth. If the pain radiates to the temple then it is most likely an upper molar. If it radiates to the ear/back of the head it is most likely a lower molar. You should see your dentist for a diagnosis.

In brief: Teeth or oral infect

The pain could be from infected tooth or gum tissue since it hurts with hot liquids.
You need to make an appt. With your dentist to determine what cause the pain.
