Can a torn lumbar disc heal? Anything that can help it heal or just leave it alone? Not sure if Prozac (fluoxetine) covering up pain or if it may have healed.

In brief: Not really
Prozac (fluoxetine) would not alleviate the pain, moreover if you will take pain medication, let your pain doctor or your pcp know if Prozac (fluoxetine) was prescriibed to you by psychiatrist- possible interaction between Prozac (fluoxetine) and pain medications( such as oxycodone and others from this group).

In brief: I believe so
This is not my specialty but I have a lot of pts with back pain and have read that they can heal.
Mri studies show that 50% of patients with bulging discs have no symptoms, so x-rays aren't enough. If there is weakness or loss of sensation, this can be serious, see an orthopedist or back specialist. Physical therapy & aqua therapy can be helpful. Antidepressants can reduce pain sx.
