3 doctors agree

In brief: Not realy

The swelling most likely permanent due to tissue injury, i would not be concerned about.
Thanks.

In brief: Depends

Are your toes red hot or just swollen.
If there is no pain then it should be fine. After traumatic injury where there is a lot swelling the blood vessels distend and swell more.

In brief: It depends

Likely that there was old venous injury at the time of fracture.
Swollen toes can be caused by venous insufficiency (not from trauma), venous clots, liver disease, gout arthritis, infection, and other medical problems. Is painful? Do your feet go cold? It depends on the severity and symptoms.
