I have been having a discharge that is sometimes brownish tinged during ovulation time. Is this normal?

In brief: Sure

Some version of vaginal discharge with blood tinging or spotting is common around ovulation because of the rapid increase then return to normal lower levels of estrogen.
This causes a small estrogen withdrawal bleed. It is of no concern. It should not have an odor or cause burning or itching, however.
