8yo was given augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) antibiotics yesterday for chest infection. At night she still had fever, when will antibiotic start working?

Fever can last . Up to 3-4 days in children with pneumonia on antibiotic therapy. Fever is not the only symptom to follow - hard time breathing is the most worrisome sign. If concerned about persistent or worsening symptoms talk to child's pediatrician.
48-72 hours. It takes 2 to 3 days for an antibiotic to show significant impact. Until then (...And for as long as they persist...) you should treat symptoms as advised by dr. Hydration and rest are important as well. If worsens during that time, should contact dr., as may need recheck.

My doc thinks I may have a bone infection. Is augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) XR the right antibiotic for it?

It depends. Bone infections can be caused by different bacterial, viral and other microorganisms. So depending on the causative organism will determine the right choice of treatment. Assuming that this bone infection is bacterial, the specific bacteria will need to be identified by culture. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) can be an initial emperical treatment pending proper isolation of the causative agent. Read more...

The docter prescribed me Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) SR antibiotic for sinus infection, it says 4 tablets a day, I have fast heart beat on the second day, is this bad?

Probably not related. Fast HR is probably not related to taking Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) SR. Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest as you currently have a sinus infection. If you are taking any pseudoephedrine (a decongestant) for your sinus congestion, stop now as this is likely the cause of the fast heart rate. Read more...
Not likely related. Cardiac side effects are not typical with Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) so this is likely a coincidence. However, if you are dehydrated from diarrhea (which is a more common side effect) your pulse can go up. Or, very rarely, people can become anemic on Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) which can make your heart rate go up. If you are dizzy or fatigued or pale, or feel like you might pass out, get in to see a doctor ASAP. Read more...

Pain in my front two teeth upper, and battling a sinus infection. M y doctor had to switch my antibiotics from augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) to Levaquin. What can cause?

See a dentist. sinus infection can definitely cause pain in the upper teeth but mostly in the molar and premolars areas, the 2 front teeth could have other problems. I would consider a consultation with a dentist to check those 2 teeth, they may need specific dental treatment as well. The Antibiotics may not solve the pain related to the 2 front teeth.
