In brief: We don't know ...

We don't know as some women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) don't try to have kids or don't want to have children.
Most women with pcos who do want to conceive can have children though. Some conceive with no fertility treatment, some need medications like glucophage, (metformin) Clomid or Femara (letrozole), while others need in vitro fertilization (ivf). See a fertility md if you want to get pregnant.

In brief: 15

Pcos affects approximately 10% of all women.
The leaner they are and the younger they are at the time of treatment, the more likely they are to conceive, and the more rapidly they will get to their goal of delivering a healthy baby. With modern day treatment, nearly all women with pcos can be successful. Because not all those with pcos desire to conceive, however, the precise answer is unknown.
