In brief: Usually just fine
Unless moms DX is delayed & her course complicated by systemic infection / intensive care etc.
The baby should be fine. Baby is insulated from many of moms stresses. As long as blood and nutrient flow thru the placenta continues without interruption, it is just another day for baby. That said, success depends on the skill of the surgeon, OB & anesthesia team to keep baby safe.
