Depends... Any dental cleaning does not have a time limit. If you are at a periodontist...It means you have a more difficult case. To start with it may take 2 one hour appointments. It may take only and hour with heavy scraping. If you are diligent and follow the doctors directions and improve...Cleaning time may be reduced to 30 to 45 minutes. But i would say allow an hour after initial treatment. Earl.
