Will ultra sound/sonogram work for evaluation of post hernia repair (on jan 2014), hard ball like seroma in abdomen as alternate to CT scan?

There is no need to perform either test, as it sounds like it is obviously present based on physical examination.
If it persists past 6-12 months and/or causes a problem, it may need to get drained. This is typically a procedure done by a radiologist using either ultrasound or ct scan, which are used to guide the needle. Can also be done by the surgeon in the office without those tests.
