In brief: Low blood sugar test

The best way to look for hypoglycemia in the lab is a 2 hour 75 gm glucose tolerance test.
Before this, ask your physician for a glucose meter ( usually free) so you can test your finger stick blood sugar before and 2 hours after you eat. Record at least 2 weeks of results by testing 1 meal each day and test a different meal each day. Take your record to your physician for review.
