There are drugs Allopurinol and uloric (on patient), that are called xanthine oxidase inhibitors, which inhibit the production of uric acid. These drugs are synergistic.If you are hyperuricemic and have not had a gout attack, it still should be lowered.Because it is only a matter of time. Everyone with gout already has deposits in joints!
