Very regular period without ovulation. How's that possible? Doctor took blood test and confirmed no ovulation. I've a regular 29 days cycle. I was prescribed clomid (clomiphene).

Suspicious. It is very unusual. Typically, having regular predictable periods 29 days apart would require ovulation, to cause the hormonal changes that trigger the menstrual flow to occur. I wonder about how they diagnosed anovulation, if you had a low day 22 Progesterone level, or some other way. Read more...
Likely ovulating. Regular periods are an extremely strong indication of ovulation. And there is not a single blood test that can indicate otherwise. Clomid (clomiphene) might still be appropriate if your hormones are low, but you don't need it to make you ovulate in the first place. Read more...

Could I still get pregnant if 21 day blood test shows. 3 progesterone levels? Have had 2 rounds of Clomid (clomiphene) 50mg, over a year of trying.

Next step. See a fertility specialist. If you are not ovulating on Clomid (clomiphene) 50 mg then your dose needs to be increased. If you are not ovulating after a few rounds of Clomid (clomiphene) then more aggressive treatment protocols are needed. Read more...

I took Clomid (clomiphene) for 5 days 50g. I got period after 45 days. Do I need to take clomid (on 2nd day) or blood test? Urine test is negative

Talk to doctor. It is unlikely that you are pregnant but you should talk to your doctor about the next step. You might need additional testing to see if you need to increase your dosage, add another medicine or change to a different medicine. It will depend on how many cycles you have had at this dose, whether you are ovulating, and why you are having problems conceiving. Good luck. Read more...

Ttc fr 10 mnths. Blood test showed high prolactin, took cabergoline. Last mnth was put on clomid, (clomiphene) right now day 43 still no period n hpt -ve. Plz adv?

Pituitary tumor? I'm not sure about "ttc" but a high serum prolactin may be due to a pituitary tumor. This produces absent periods ("amenorrhea") and, in some, milk secretion ("galactorrhea"). Such tumors may also end up interfering with vision and cause other problems. Ask your doctors for a brain MRI concentrating on the sella, where the pituitary is located. Read more...
Cabergoline. Can be a correct treatment for high prolactin, but evaluating for a pituitary tumor is often important too. How high was the prolactin level? If there is no concern about tumor and your prolactin has been normalized, Clomid (clomiphene) can also be a good choice but it sounds like you did not respond (ovulate) to the medicine this cycle. You'd do well to get back with the prescribing doctor on this one. Read more...
