The TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary gland. The TSH goes up when the thyroid is slow (= hypothyroidism). Based on the results you have primary hypothyroidism with a TSH above 5. You are also correct: sometimes a high TSH can be seen early on in pregnancy. There is a trimester specific tsh.
