In brief: NO

I don't recommend surgery when patients can achieve adequate reflux control with nonsurgical means and are uncertain about having more children.
However, i've had many patients who got pregnant (mostly unplanned) after surgery and had no problem during their pregnancy with reflux symptoms or eating mostly anything.
