Not heart. When you inhale deeply, you stretch the intercostal and pectoral muscles of the chest wall which can become sore and hurt. (= muscular chest wall pain). Additionally you rub the two pleural linings of the lungs which hurt when they are inflamed (usually by infection) (=pleurisy). Ibuprofen is usually very good for this kind of pain (either of the above).
Depends. Could be related to chest wall muscle and rib cage problems ... Could be pleurisy or lung problems ... Could be tumor or fluid in or around the lungs ... Should see md if persists or worsens.
Feel like need to take deep breath and some chest pressure. Heart rate 66 BPM. Worried it could be heart?
Remotely possible. You have a nice low resting heart rate which suggests some degree of cardiovascular conditioning. The sensation of needing to take a deep breath and some chest pressure is most often linked to anxiety...more worried if the pressure feeling worsened when exercising and improved with rest. Or you were actually short of breath or had palpitations. Do some deep breathing, relax. To Doc if persists. Read more...

Hi I'm experiencing moderate chest pressure and slight shortness of breath when laying down. I've recently started working out but I'm fine afterward?
See MD . Studies show shortness of breath while lying down , othopnea, is associated with COPD, CHF, tumors ,asthma or diaphragmatic weakness. Also may indicate pericardial effusion or pericarditis. I recommend immediate ER consultation for physical exam imaging x-rays, ultrasound interrogation and FAST scan diagnosis. Stay calm and see ER. . Read more...
