In brief: Dry mouth

Could be salivary gland atrophy.
Any smoking, alcohol or mouth washes used-all these can dry the mucosal surfaces. ?menopausal. Women more prone dry eyes and decreased saliva production sometimes on autoimmune basis. Can suck on lozenges to stimulate salivary gland secretions.
