Androgenetic (hormone-related) acne is tougher to treat than regular teen acne, but nonetheless eminently treatable.
Some of the treatments are very similar to regular acne regimens; if hormonal abnormalities are found, other treatments can be used. But this is not something to attempt on your own; find a dermatologist with lots of experience with this kind of acne.

If you truly have hormone-related acne (worse during certain time of your cycle), a steady regimen of pills, intra-uterine device, nexplenon, or depoprovera etc.
.May provide you some relief. You certainly may want to consider some topicals first and if not adequate, consult your doc for treatment etc..Good luck.

benzaclin, sulfacetamide, erythromycin/benzoy-peroxide etc... topicals containing retinoid derivatives have such potential of teratogenesis, but quite low being a topical form and small in quantity used. good luck
