Pain Management

In brief: Pinched Nerve

Sounds like a pinched nerve in your neck.
Typically that is most times what causes pain all the way down or up your arm. Alternatively, it could be a pinched nerve in arm as well like in the brachial plexus and/or nerve entrapment elsewhere. If your knee hurts it suggests the pinching in your neck is more severe than usual. I would suggest seeing a spine specialist to evaluate this further.
