Decadron (dexamethasone) drops for new ear tube that's clogged. The drops hurt a lot when I put them in. Is there anyway to make it hurt less? Why does is hurt so bad?

Giving otic drops. This may be an adverse reaction from the medication itself. Try premedicating with Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen). I often find that warming up the drops by rolling the bottle between your hands helps with the discomfort/dizziness that can occur with administration of the medication.
