In brief: Coronary angiogram
Usually the benefit of the information found with coronary angiogram far outweighs the risk to the patient.

In brief: Yes
It's extremely safe to do one! i didn't have an injury after doing >5, 000, it's also very safe to have one done.
The risk of a serious complication is <1 in a 1000 (0.1% risk). Most people have a sore spot where the catheter is inserted and a bruise is typical. Heart attack, stroke, serious bleeding, and death are exceedingly rare. Injury to the blood vessel used happens rarely & can be repaired.
