Meds. Bipolar disorder is a complex disease best managed with a close relationship with a dr. Comfortable with treating this illness.I do not know of any "natural" treatments that are effective in the treatment of this disorder.That said, how about treatment with a natural substance like a"salt", like lithium, which I use most often in treating bipolar disorder, along with other meds?

Natural remedies. Here is a thing. When you are in manic stage, it's an emergency and no natural remedies would work. As far as depressive stage, there are some natural remedies, although, I have to admit their efficacy is either questionable or not that significant. Not a good plan. Bipolar disorder can have very severe episodes of depression & mania. So far, there are no natural remedies which consistently prevent these without the person also being on a mood stabilizer at least. Even as a homeopathic physician I do not take my patients off of their mood stabilizers -- although with good treatment they may be able to taper down or even off of other pharmaceuticals. Sorry!
