In brief: Have it reevaluated

Was the ankle x rayed? Usually severe sprains are treated with immobilization.
Was yours? In any event, have the ankle reevaluated by an orthopedist.

You certainly need an x-ray and reevaluation by either a podiatrist or orthopedist. You may have suffered a complete ligament tear. However, an exam is essential, x-ray, MRI, and immobilization and physical therapy may be necessary.
