Levaquin (levofloxacin) x10 days ended 3 weeks ago for pneumonia. Cough still, thick mucus sometimes w/metallic taste/malodor. No fever/headache. Normal or see my md?

Persistent cough. A persistent cough after a full treatment course if antibiotics would need to be reassessed by a doctor.
Residual cough. Sometimes there is a residual cough after pneumonia or bronchitis from prior tacheal irritation due to prolonged coughing. This is usually a dry hacking cough. If you are producing a lot of discolored mucus, running a fever, having sweats and chills or wheezing, these would indicate a need for follow up exam and another chest xray.
