I woke up very early this morning due to pain in my testicles. Could this mean I have torsion of testicles?

In brief: Sudden onset, severe
Torsion pain will be on one side, and very severe, unless spermatic cord spontaneously untwists.
Needs attention immediately if in fact torsion. Unlikely torsion if both testes painful. Could also be epididymitis, in which case scrotum would be red, swollen and tender. Gently lifting scrotum would provide a little relief with epididymitis, but not with torsion. Intermittent torsion can occur.
