In brief: Infection likely

An infection involving the lung, airways, or pleura is possible.
Probably not too serious but get checked out to make sure.

In brief: Infection

Some of this depends upon the type of chest pain you are experiencing.
If it hurts when you take a deep breath and is localized you need to see a doctor. Some chest pain may be due to muscular attachments being stretched by coughing. If you are short of breath, have change in color or consistency of the sputum, fever keeps going up - please see a doctor. Hope you are better.
